WRITING
PROSE COMICS
I'll take my cue from Robert Aickman Brother Voodoo Epic Pitch

and call these "Strange Stories":

My first Epic pitch was a "Night Shift" story based on the (supposed) death of Jessica Drew that just happened to be rolling around in my head at the time, best left forgotten. By the time I pitched "Brother Voodoo" the wheels had come off the rose. I was quite proud to have created what was, in my estimation, a very "Jemas-esque" script-- that I had adapted the style according to the "assignment".
The Uneven Hand
My first stab at prose in a long time. The story is overwritten, but I think I achieved the desired tone .
The Walk Home
Written for The First Line.
Not that there mightn't be reasons for rejection based on quality or content, but I think something went wrong when I submitted the file, so that I don't know if it was ever received.

Spider-Man Unlimited Pitch
From posts on the Comixfan.com
boards, I knew that some Epic-pitchers were being asked for "Unlimited" material. Hoping I could sneak through, I sent in this submission only to receive the "We don't read unsolisited manuscripts" reply. Highly compressed from an original 22-page script.

Mona
Conceived as an exercise based on the first sentence, "Mona" grew some long legs.
Seba - A Kate Muncie Adventure
The script that ended my amateur status. Bought by Atlantis Studios. They later refocused on contract/commission pieces only and were kind enough to allow publishing rights to revert to me. So, you know, I can sell it again.
